It was the "yes we can" commercial Pepsi put out that did it for me, I never cared much for Pepsi products anyway, so avoiding them entirely is a small sacrifice.

It's all in your head.

Oh, wait.

I still drink Diet Pepsi because I like 'em.  I have taken to calling a can of diet Pepsi "an Obama" though, e.g., "I'm going to get an Obama, you want anything up there?"  I've also taken to calling liberal people, and too-slow Subarus "Obamas" as well.

They are both round and consist of the same three colors.

Pepsi's logo has been some sort of circular red, white, and blue design(often referred to as the "Pepsi Globe") since the 1940's.

I'd heard that the CEO of Pepsi is a large anti-gunner. Don't know if it's the same one and it still holds true.

I gave up soft-drinks a couple years ago, so it won't affect my choice of drink either way. But it does look like pepsi is trying to bag the obama voters into drinking their stuff.

cashing in on an extremely popular (at least for the time being) public figure is neither new, nor a bad business move.  Pepsi always tries to tap into trends with limited success.

so what?  they're a business trying to cash in on the popularity of the new president.  nothing new for pepsi or any other business for that matter.  how many places around you are running "economic stimulus" sales?

It's a double-edged sword if the public figure is polarizing.

the key is to jump ship before the pendulum swings the other way.  you may not realize it, but at least for the time being we're in the minority that don't like Obama.

Thus, I do not want to support businesses that jump on the bandwagon to be seen as "hip" and with the Kenyan.

you live in a log cabin in the woods with no utilities?  you grow your own food?  you walk everywhere you go?  If you answered no to any of those questions, chances are you're supporting a business that supports either Obama, the Democratic party, or gun control, and THEY don't give a shit if you buy their product or not, because you are less than a tenth of one tenth of one percent of the population, and they target the population as a whole.

Funny, I thought he only won the popular vote by a few percent? I didn't realize the other half of us that voted for the other guy even though he isn't our favorite candidate made up one tenth of one tenth of the population. If that's the case, there are WAY more illegals in this country than ANYONE could have estimated...
