you know things are bad when psyops4fun has given up on the Glorious Leader allusions.
I'm not a finance guru, but I heard something about today is the day certain types of options expire, and negative effects are anticipated. Anybody who knows something about that willing to explain it to us in small words? |

I think Rick Santelli's CNBC rant of yesterday said what a lot of people are thinking. The productive class does not agree with the government's plan to (a) eliminate the moral hazards associated with poor decisionmaking and (b) put the consequences on the back of the productive class. So, many of them would rather hoard cash than watch investments plummet.
Plus, the banking thing has a lot of people scared. When my local 12-branch bank has a stock price that is 3x Bank of America's and 5x Citibank's, that is not a sign of good health in the national-level banking system. That scares people into safety and away from risk. ETA: OK, since you called out my manhood, I will make an amateur prediction: ––no rally ––close below 7500 (yes, that is weak )

I hope they have camera trained on highrise office buildings that house Brokerage firms, at least trained on the windows of those offices! I'm hoping it gets soo bad, that we see brokers who think they can fly.
Welcome to The Great Hope and Change Depression lol |

Lo, do I see the line of my people back to begining . Lo , do they call to me . They bid me take my place among them in the halls of Valhala ... Where the brave..shall live......Forever . |

He PROMISED!!!
We were supposed to get HOPE! And CHANGE!! He was going to make it ALL BETTER! Now we get this BS that it's not going to be an easy road... that we have a lot of doom and gloom in front of us. I refuse to take delivery of that. He said that if we elected him, he would fix this mess quickly. I am going to hold him to ALL of his empty promises. |

Who has the balls to buy today and what are you buying? Large ones here. I'm putting in a buy for GE at $9.00. In the not too distant future you will look back and see now was the buying opportunity of the century. You'll never be able to catch the bottom of a stock, but this is close enough. |

IMHO bad news is good news. The people who make this country work realize what is going on, no one is buying into this scheme, people are literally shrugging and divesting themselves from business and putting it into tangible items.

Time to reflect upon our ancestral traditions and values indeed. When the shiver up our spine turns to steel. I'm with ya, Brother. |

I would agree that if one has the cash (and brass balls) it is definitely a buyers market. If you think about it, that's the only thing that's going to get this mess headed back in the right direction. We also have to look at the bright side, and that is that in 4 years we get to vote out of office, the guy who put our great grandchildren in debt. |

Even if I live 100 years, I will never, never place another dollar in the stock market.
I have been told since I was in college that investing was the right thing to do. The smart thing to do. Make your money work for you. No one ever bothered to clue me in that you need to take care of some basics before investing. Things like shelter, transportation, ... savings. I lost a lot, and it was a hard lesson to learn. Starting over again at the bottom gives you perspective that folks who have never lost anything just can't seem to understand. |
