Very, most of those men were back home trying to raise money and goods for the fight. Plus many many other historical blemishes. Nice painting though.

Don't be so fast. They were just as bad as the Congress today believe it or not. Remember the Federalists? John Adams was a much larger threat to our Democracy than Obama ever will be. Adams was anti 2nd Amendment, anti personal freedoms, and anti state rights. The founding fathers walked a very thin line on the development of the country. Good thing we had equally strong personalities in Jefferson and Washington. Ben Frank would be VERY at home with our current Congress, hell he would teach them a thing or two on how to work the system. Look into how he got his shop off the ground...talk about I rub your back you rub my back.

Even in the very begining there were the Democrats (Federalists) and Republicans (Jeffersonian Republicans) who fought about some of the same things they are fighting about today. Back then like today most of them were crooked. A politician is a politician, every once in awhile you find one tolerable but rarely.

As Ben Frank once wrote, "Politicians are like diapers. They should be changed frequently, and for the same reason."

+1

If I could change one thing in history, it would be that Arron Burr capped that piece of shit Hamilton much earlier.

I wish our Congress still had real jobs like they did.
