| 36 Grn HP plated. I can get a ton of these at a good price. Are they any good ? |
|
They shoot great out of my Guns but it seemed that 1 out of every 25 was dead, a few we put back in and most went off on the 2nd attempt.
They are going for around $16 for 550 Rounds around here, the Federals are much cheaper and the Winchesters sell as soon as they hit the shelf. |

Quoted:
Semi Autos: federal bulk pack bolt action: remington goldens will work This man has it exactly right. The heel of the bullet isn't held into the case well at all. When the nose hits the feed ramp, the bullet tips up. The case then cuts into the side of the bullet due to the force of the bolt pushing forward to chamber the round. What you wind up with is less a Golden Bullet than a Golden Banana. But they work fine in boltguns. It took a lot of boltgunning to get rid of mine, but the semiauto's certainly weren't going to run with them. -Hobbit |
| I don't like them either. They've never performed as well for me(reliability OR accuracy) as Federal bulk-and the two in my area are usually within 70 cents in price. Plinking I use Federal bulk, for accuracy in my Remington 581 at the moment CCI Minimag gets the nod. haven't tried anything match grade yet. Likely this summer. |

DO NOT BUY.
They are the nastiest, dirtiest ammo I've ever fired. Accuracy is mediocre at best. The bullets are not seated well at all in the cases, so they spin and tip freely. The powder charges in each round are so inconsistent, you can hear the difference. Four rounds in a row would sound like this... BangBangBangBang About 1 in 10 rounds is a dud. Remington's bulk packs are SHIT. Avoid them at all costs. |
