Where would you go to purchase some of this stuff?

I'd like to pick up a bit, but don't have a clue as where to start.

Many grocery stores here in FL have it.  If not there, check your local seafood markets.  They always have plenty on hand.

Pretty much every grocery store in my area keeps it in a special cooler. You might have to ask but I bet you have some w/i a 10 min drive unless you live in the sticks. SS

OK, try an ice cream shop.  I used to get it at Baskin-Robbins when I was a kid.

I'm sure they will for the purposes of packing customer orders.  You may have to get a gallon of Jamoca Almond Fudge to get them to give you some.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

F**K Publix. Go to Albertson's.

Look for the big freezer at the front of the grocery with the bagged ice in it.  Get the name of the company that stocks it, and call them.

I took him down to Baskin Robbins.  They sold some to me.......about $1.00-$1.50 for a fair sized chunk.

Aloha, Mark

If there is a United grocery store nearby they usually have it.  As noted above, some Walmarts.  Probably other grocery stores.

CYA (liability concerns) is the reason it's not advertised and sold at *every* gas station like it used to be in the 70's and 80's.  Sad really, cause that was the great fun of family picnics near a crick or river..."let's throw the dry ice in and watch it burble, bubble and fizz"...ahhh memories.

I've wondered about the lack of dry ice for years but haven't tried to procure any for ages either.  Mebbe it is *right down the street* and I'm in the dark.

We used to buy it from the ice cream man when he'd come through. But that was 30yrs ago.
