Do you use them. All the time? Whats the best brand to buy? For use at home. I'm really thinking about giving up the fork and spoon, and any input would be great! |

I can do chop sticks pretty well. We own several nice pairs that we bought at some Asian grocery store some years back. As far as what constitutes a premium brand of chop stick, who knows. I would like to get a few large cooking-sized pairs for frying. Seems like they'd be an excellent kitchen tool. |

No, the civilization I live in has passed the "eating with two sticks" phase a long time ago. So you use the stabbing 4 pronged instrument eh?
My family and I usually use a bamboo variety that is squared and has ridges on the ends where you pick up the food. Been using chop sticks for as long as I remember and I still cant get used to using the metal kind. |

That reminds me of a day i was in an Chinese restaurant a couple months ago.
A guy came in asking for chopsticks at the counter manned by a young chinese chick... She says in a chinese accent "I don't know where they are!" The replies: "This is a chinese restaurant and you don't know where your chopsticks are?" Her: "No, Chopsticks too hard, I prefer a fork!" Me and the guy i was with almost shit ourselves laughing! It was just too ironic, the White guy wants chopsticks and the Chinese chick prefers a fork!!! |

I'm quite damn good with chopsticks.
I use them whenever I'm eating a noodle dish. Simple fact is that noodles are a pain in the butt to eat with a fork - much easier with chopsticks. Stir fry is also chopstick food, to me anyway. You won't catch me trying to eat a steak or anything stupid like that. I like my 'sticks to be a bit longer than a hand-span. Pointy at one end. Rounded or not doesn't make a difference... I do like wood, but you have to be kinda careful with the treatment. Hand-wash only. I've seen TI chopsticks, but am too cheap to shell out for some. Also, metal is hard... so is highly lacquered wood, as it gets slick and hard to grab things with. |

fork knife spoon. the only way to eat food. I like to shove as much food in my mouth as possible, chopstick don't let me do that ![]() With Chopsticks, I can shovel appropriate kinds of food into my mouth faster than I can chew and swallow. They don't keep me from fattening up My wife however: she's lucky to finish a plate in under an hour of concentrated eating if she uses chopsticks!
