I went to the avenged sevenfold - Taste of Chaos tour in OKC last summer. I remember walking up to the stadium building at the fairgrounds and seeing a black van that said PETA2 on it. I jokingly said to my friends "that must be PETA...just more hardcore".
Turns out I was right 
Mostly chicks wearing clothing just to get attention...course it worked :P but the petition they had they wanted everyone to sign and give e-mail addresses for was to "stop the skinning of cats and dogs while theyre still alive for their fur" or something like that. All I could think of was where the hell does this happen? The US? Im pretty sure thats ALREADY cruelty to animals and is already illegal...I didnt sign it. My friends declined to sign as well. The chick with the board asked me "Why dont you like animals? - 'Nope' and walked off. It's not that I dont like animals like cats and dogs, but seriously, has anyone heard of that stuff happening in the US recently? Im not saying some sick bastard doesnt do it...but on a large scale that a petition is needed? If they dont want to kill or eat animals thats fine. Personally I dont think Id ever go on a hunt...I like eating meat and I dont really want to meet my meal before killing it. If that makes any sense at all. |
