I was shooting the shit with a client today and he tells me he's into long range muzzleloading competitions. Granted, I know they exist, but I don't know much about them. He proceeds to tell me he's got a "tricked out" Thompson Center Pro Hunter. I tell him that I'm familiar with the gun because I own one, currently in a 300 Mag Configuration. He says he's got the barrel bored out to .55 and some additional mods to the ignition system. Okay, so far so good.
He then tells me he's won $10,000 at these competitions because he is able to shoot a one and one half inch (1 1/2") group at eight hundred (800) yards. He then proceeds to tell me he can do this with his 30.06 as well. So can we officially call shenanigans?
