| I have heard plenty of people speak of how they, lease/rent/pay/barter ,with a private property owner so that they can shoot on their land.. Anyone know of a good place to start looking to find a deal like that? Not for hunting purposes, target, and fun.. just looking for a starting point. thanks. |

You could always try your local newspaper or Craigslist. Aside from that, get with some local clubs in your area and see if anyone has any suggestions..maybe a member has some property. Additionally, you might consider putting up a flyer at your local range advertising your interest in paying to shoot on someones property. Ensure you include information regarding clean up (policing your brass). Finally, if you can swing a few hundred a month, you might try buying your own 10-20 acres of scrub land. Not only is it a nice investment, but you might be able to turn it into your own little lease for shooters similarly situated. Check your local ordinances regarding a shooting range should you choose that route.
