What is the easiest and cheapest way to get rid of stumps?  I was thinking of throwing a tire around them and burning em.  To hell with global warming. Innovative ideas welcome.  Just keep it cheap.

Drill lots of holes in it and fill them with diesel.  Throw match on it.  Add beer, lawn chair, beer, beer, friends, beer, you get the idea.

How about drilling a big hole in it and pouring diesel fuel in the hole then burning.

Call your local stump grinder/tree removal company.  It'll be gone in no time, and it doesn't cost that much.

You can grind it, or dig the stump as deep as you feel and cut it below grade.

Everything else takes a long time and has dismal results.

1. First you hook a chain around the stump and the other end of the chain hooks onto the hitch.
2. Give er hell and rip the hitch off and tweek the frame.
3. Park said truck atop stump and set on fire.
4. Call insurance company.

If you are patient you can do what I did.  I had to remove a tree that was about 6 feet from the house and the stump it left was 40 inches across.  I called a couple local places that do stump grinding and they wanted extreme amounts of money to remove. I bought 100 pounds of the cheapest charcoal I could find and laid about 4 inches thick over stump and let it burn.  I had to do this twice and it burnt it perfectly about 6 inches below the ground level.  It isnt fast but it works perfectly since the charcoal burns down and since it was very close to the side of the house I couldnt have large fire of any kind.

I've heard that you build a charcoal fire on the stump and cover it with an old tire rim.  The rim radiates the heat down into the stump and burns it out.

That might work.  My property doesn't have any buildings on it yet so large fires or explosives are all within play especially if I take a case of beer with me.  Of course I should pack the video camera as well.

The pickup tows the trailer that has the stump grinder on it.

I had a local guy grind out a stump for me.  Cost me $50 and it took him maybe 30 minutes.

I have at least 10 stumps.  A stump grinder will take a long time.  10 fires at once sounds fun to me.,

carve a little of it into the shape of a baffle or another NFA item and call it it. They'll take it one way or another.
