This Soldier is right on.
I myself gave a similar speech to a handful of Iraqi Soldiers who couldn't stay awake on post. They don't understand the big picture, that's the main problem. All they understand is what they can see, what's right in front of them. They have zero concept of "tomorrow." They don't give a shit about their country's future, or about dying for it. The few that do are very few and far between, and unfortunatley don't seem to live very long. Semper Fi |
