Export them to a file.

Put file on laptop.

Open Firefox on laptop and import bookmarks from said file.

I can't find them to export them.  I opened the mozilla folder hoping to find them there but no go.

You have to go to Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks

Then use the option to export them to a file, name it "whatever.html"

Move the file to your laptop, again go to Bookmarks - Organize Bookmarks

Use the import function to save the bookmarks in your browser.

Once they are imported you can delete the file you made, and your bookmarks will still be intact.

It's not a bad idea to keep a backup copy of the file though, I have had my bookmarks disappear before.

There is an add-on that sycronizes all of your bookmarks for multiple computers.  I can't remember what the add-on is named but I can check when I get home.

Foxmarks.

Great add-on.  Highly recommeded.  I have it installed on all my computers.
