onions/peppers need to be caramelized as said above and how do you plan on defending them? Fighting your way to your rifle with your pistol? Rifle on the table damnit, even if it scratches. Still though, I went to chilis last night and got some fajitas, so i'm with ya! 8/10 |

Damn, you guys are harsh critics.
I suppose I could've done better, but the pic was really an after thought. Mrs Diggerwolf & I were about to dig in when she said "This looks so good we should take a pic!" to which I replied "Ah ha!" and grabbed a couple weapons long with my camera. The meat is, of course, skirt steak. Any other kind and the meal wouldn't be fajitas––it would be carne asada. (Learning point for you non-Texans.) Fixins' weren't carmelized––they were grilled. Will do better next time. |

Quoted: (Learning point for you non-Texans.) it's bad enough hearing 10 Texans spout off in every chili thread about how Texas owns chili and we have to make it your way or call it something else. Are you claiming Texas owns fajitas too? is it now deceed by our Texan masters that chicken fajitas, pork fajitas and shrimp fajitas can no longer be called fajitas? -5 Awful picture composition -2 No reloads -2 Fixins not cooked properly = 1/10 |

-5 Awful picture composition -2 No reloads -2 Fixins not cooked properly = 1/10 Texans don't own fajitas, but mass marketing has duped a lot of people into believing 'fajitas' are essentially anything served with tortillas and fixings such as guacamole, pico de gallo, etc. Actually, fajitas are a particular cut of meat also known as skirt steak. Any other type of meat, chicken, fish, etc. served with tortillas and fixings is more appropriately called 'carne asada.' And, I must admit, many Texans don't understand this either... |
