...would you want to be in times square right now, in 20 degree weather, surrounded by thousands of total strangers? I never got the whole appeal of that...

A little bit of whiskey to keep the insides warm.....  A little bit of weed to keep the braincells warm........  Now we know why they don't mind being shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other people.  Not me.

When I read your reply, TBS, I laughed out loud, inspite of myself.

Uh,uh this mushroom cloud to which you refer.....exactly what do suppose will be the make-up of this cloud ?

Do you refer to a cloud composed of "joyfully burning bud smoke and other similiar herbs and species" or .................?

My cousin goes every year.
He told me that you are assigned a square to stand in for the entire time.

My 5th nephew told me that they also give you a cup to pee in, and he also said that Mattel made an M16 [:D]

Your cousin is wrong, you can wander to your hearts content.

Wife and I went once back in 80 something... There were a bunch of guys dealing 3 card Monte on trash can lids. Another guy was holding a fist full of joints like a cigar store indian and SCREAMING "Joints, joints! 3 for 5! Beauties, black star acid!" Cops busted a guy right in front of us (no idea why, but it had to be more serious than selling black star acid). One cop was dragging the guy along whacking him on the collar bone with a slapjack (edge wise too, ouch). The guys buddy is running along behind them yelling "Don't tell them nothing, Leroy." Another guy we met in the crowd invited us back to his place for "some cherry bags." [rolleyes]I can see that headline: "Whitebread idiot found dead in crack house. Wife still missing." All in all, it was a blast. A life experience not to be missed.

Now, I live in the country on a 50 acre farm.

The extent of my celebrating will be to go outside at midnight.....rip off about 15-20 rds. from the M4 (towards the ground of course) and listen to the echo fade ever so slowly away.

Nice n' cold here as well as we are sitting at 23F right now.

Peace guys and gals

Wrong. I know for a fact that you are put in a grid. You can thank the last time we allowed the knuckleheads to drink and get a little rowdy for that one...

It's only appealing if you can do it in the nude.

Gunowners tend to be individualists.  Why would it be a surprise if most of them detested being stuck in crowds?

They're not "crowds," they're "target rich environments"!

Panic attacks REALLY SUCK! I have had them before.

Since my fiance went home to Taiwan for the holidays, my dog Debo and I watched "The Crocodile Hunter" marathon on cable until we passed out. How's that for a NYE celebration [:(]

Great looking dog. You're lucky to have such fine companionship on NYE. Best I could do on such short notice was hang out with my family.[;)]
