I am selling something, was talking to a newb with no feedback who gave me everything and more that I asked for but during that process a guy with good feedback also posts he wants it, I mean like at the same time.

I have not told either yes and asked the more experienced guy his opinion, but I am sort of up in the air.

It's your choice who you sell it to.  Just don't dick with people or string them along.

go with the guy who sent you the "I'll take it" first.

Sellers can sell to whoever they want for any reason they want.  By posting "I will take it" first means nothing.

I go with first qualified buyer.

First "I'll take it" gets it

Everybody here had a zero feedback at one time.

By that reason alone I am choosing the guy with feedback as he replied to the ad right before the other guy gave me info.  Thanks,,

He asked for opinions, I gave mine.  I'm not sure what you're expecting to gain by arguing against my own personal feelings on the matter.

You are free to do that if you wish, but official site policy is that a seller can sell to whomever he/she wishes, using whatever criteria he/she wishes.  It's a long-standing "rule."

Did I quote you?  No, I didn't so I was not arguing with anyone.  I too just gave my opinion.  How did you arrive at the conclusion that I was arguing with you?

Having been in a similar situation, I would have asked the second guy to wait until I had vetted the first guy.

Not that you are wrong, you aren't.

sell to the first I'll take it

selling requires nothing more than waiting for payment before shipping.  You lose nothing if the newb never sends funds.  You leave him neg. feedback and either contact the 2nd guy or relist it

I posted an i'll take it when i had no feedback and was told the item was sold by the seller.  it was relisted a month later by the same seller.  and i know it was the same item because it was a customized piece  i will always remember him

I've both bought from and sold to newbs.
Never had a problem.
If the communication is good and you are comfortable with the transaction, go for it.

For selling its really not even a factor, either they sent you money or not.
When buying, sometimes you just have to take that leap faith and drop the MO in the mailbox.

True enough. The risk is born by the buyer. Let the newb have a shot.

I did not get an "I'll take it" from him per se.  He asked if it was still available and I asked for feedback somewhere, ebay or the like.  His Ebay lacked and  I was in a quandary as to how to vet him as I want to give a guy a chance.  We passed a few IM's back and forth and he even offered to send me a pic of his Driver's license.  Another member with feedback and history in the EE posted an I'll take it right before the first guy could convince me that he was safe to deal with.  Both were understanding of my decision and there are no hard feelings.  I had to go with what made the most sense to me and that was MrClean's "First Qualified Buyer" line.  You also got to consider that the first guy registered yesterday and has zero posts here and zilch for history online anywhere.

I wanted to be fair as possible which is why I posted my quandary here.
