I'm trying to kick smoking, and have been thinking about dip, but I don't want to be spitting into a cup every few minutes.

Camel claims you don't need to spit with these.  I'm weary, but might as well give it a shot later today.

But before that, has anybody here tried them before?

I have tried it. Although you don"t "have" to spit it really is not the most fun thing to swallow. Its still chew, it gives the feeling and lasts a long time, it just is not as much nasty brown spit coming off it.

Skoal Bandits (not the pouches)  are the same thing. As long as you tuck it between your cheek & gum, you'll have no need to spit. You're teeth and gums & cheek might rot, but it's probably better than ruining your lungs.

I use snus, I've cut back on my smoking a lot.  My only options are Tourney (awful) and Triumph (good).

No spitting at all.

There's two "flavors" –– Frost and Mellow.

Anybody had these?  Recommend one over the other?

I received a promotion in the mail for Camel orbs (or i think thats what its called.) it is dissolve-able tobacco, like a pill that you put between your cheek and gum that disappears after 5 -10 min. can't wait to try those out.

Dipping is THE worst way to quit. you'll fail. It has far more direct nicotine intake than smoking does.

Cold turkey while the hardest is the best way. Smoking is horrible for you I smoked for awhile as a young man about a yr stupidest thing I ever did.

Just gotta set your mind to it and do it. Increasing your intake of nicotine through smoking doesn't sound like a way to do it.

Those things are pretty weak so it may not be too bad. Regular dip is much much more addicting though so tread lightly.

Ive tried it doesnt require spiting but it does cut ure gums up pretty good just compared to dipping. I prefer the origional to spice it kind of has a tea flavor almost.

Snus is a Norwegian/Swedish product. I'm unsure if the American "snus" is the same thing. The real stuff is high quality and steam cured and apparently has almost non-existent carcinogens compared to smoking or dipping. It is also strong as fuck.

I quit cold turkey on christmas eve, haven't looked back. It only sucked for a few days, then some minor annoyances.

i smoked and chewed  and just quit at the end of last year
the camel snus are weak  but i liked the frost over the mellow
the mellow tasted like i just broke a cigg and put it into my gums

Swedish snus is good shit, I don't smoke or dip but I had some distant cousins visit from Norway a few summers ago and they used the stuff all the time - given that I don't smoke it almost made me dizzy with the nicotine buzz. It didn't taste half bad either. You can mail order it, the price doesn't seem bad.
