I kid not: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,41715,00.html Who knew that snot was the worlds most dangerous weapon? |
| I saw the video of this "stuff" on Fox, and I have to say it looked very effective. They sprayed it on grass, cement, and pavement and the results looked the same to me regardless of what or who tried to traverse across it. Zero traction, like wet ice on wet ice. |

Aw, c'mon buddy! Don't you know that the slogan of the USMC mess is "Death From Within"? The M-42A2 Unit, Burrito, Wet, one each has spent years at the shops at China Lake and Aberdeen and Yuma being perfected. "That which does not kill you makes you stronger!" Those that survive messhall eventually become Marines. (And all you guys thought it was Mount Mother that weeded out all the pogey-baiters!) Semper Fi! |

Ah, let me think of all the ways to defeat this [;D] A heavy enough vehicle, or a vehicle with suitable tires to punch through the slime. There has to be a limit on the surface tension or puncture resistance. Get a running start and slide across it. You get one shot and don't get to make adjustments in midflight. Hope there are no jutting sharp rocks in your way. Shovel a path through it. Dump a covering on top of it. |
| I actually thought it wasn't a bad idea, especially in a seige situation. I mean held up in an Embasy, spray that all around the building will make it hard to be overrun. True, I think it'd be better served in other areas, such as riots and corrections or an anti theft device. |
