| i have wondered at some of their prices before (sort of high on some things) but otherwise, I have been a "member" for 3 years and have never had any quality or "ethical" issues with them at all. When I buy something, they send it. I'd call their customer service line and see if they'll acknowledge the mistake and make the situation right with you. |

I got a $25 credit when they sent me Berdan-primed .308 surplus ammo instead of Boxer-primed ammo they had advertised. They offered to refund my money if I shipped the ammo back to them. I was underwhelmed (I bought several thousand rounds). That was the last time I dealt with them.

And I was well aware of SPG's reputation, but this is the first time something like this has happened to me. 4-5 other purchases over the last 3-4 years have gone fine. |

Moral of this story is to be careful what you order from SG, their order fulfillment is a little shaky. And you get to pay for the privilege of correcting their mistakes. |

Ha Ha wow...so the last thing I ask the 'customer service' lady before I get off the phone with her is -
"So I don't need to mark the box at all, UPS will bring an RA slip and mark the box themselves when they pick it up?" Her - "That's right, he will have what he needs, just put your return slip inside the box so we (SG) will have a record when the package arrives." UPS guy shows up at my office to pick up the package (same afternoon I received it...I was initially impressed). He takes one look at the package and says "This needs a shipping barcode on it, can't take it without one." "But they said you were bringing it?!?!?" "Nope, just got called for a pick up." Wow. I love this company. |

Every forum I'm on has multiple threads about "I got fucked". Gee, no shit, really? How many threads does it take before you realize you might get fucked too? While all their shenanigans are un-called for, I'd be happy if I got lacquer coated instead of zinc (depending on the price). I consider the zinc to be inferior to the lacquer, primarily if you're planning to store it for a while. That said, with such fine outfits as Widener's, AIM, and ATG around I haven't bothered looking at the Guide's ammo in a few years. |
| I havent ordered from them since they got rid of the free shipping coupon. I just dont feel like its truely a deal anymore when I not getting $1000 worth of ammo shipped for free. I need more .223 though, I may have to check their site. Dispite what others have said I have never had a problem with them, or their CS. |
