I was working on a trade, a Smith and Wesson MP15T(The one with rails and Troy BUIS) in mint condition, rarely fired. Eotech, MIAD VFG, all papers and case for a Wilson CQB standard with some wear and obviously spent some time at a range.

I was willing to pay 300 difference, the other guy acted like I insulted his mother with that offer. Am I off on my estimate, I didnt think I was trying to rip him off but he sure did.

ETA How much higher should I go if I decide I really want this pistol?

Wait. You are going to trade that rifle PLUS $300 for a pistol?

Hell at the prices people are selling stuff for today you should be able to sell the rifle and get enough to buy a new Wilson.

Keep the rifle...it increases your killing power.   That guy did you a favor, and his mom is probably a whore.
