Great little email program, but I want to make it minimize to the little tray on the bottom right of Windows like Outlook does so that I can have the program completely minimized to tray and still get incoming email notifications. I am using Vista.
Any thunderbird gurus out there. |

I am using Vista. Any thunderbird gurus out there. I recently switched to Thunderbird myself, since it seemed that Outlook couldn't handle having 3 IMAP accounts set up at once. I love Thunderbird, but the one thing you will notice that will maybe bother you, bothers the shit out of me, is that when you send a message, a status bar pops up and sits there until the message is sent. Not really a big deal for a casual email, but try attaching some photos and when you have to sit there and watch this 5 MB email being sent and you can't do anything else until it finishes gets real annoying. I can't believe they don't have an option to send the email in the background like Outlook. Anyways, just thought I would rant. One of the biggest likes of Outlook (full version, not express) is the total minimization into the small system tray by the clock all the while sending out the mail or receiving mail without making me look at it or having to show an active window while doing it. I'll try the add on you gave me. Thanks! 
ETA: Tried installing the add-on, but it isn't compatible with TB version 3.0b. So off to download the prior non beta version.
