I posted this in the movie forum, but also thought I should post this here.
There are few actresses who have caused such a stir in the movie making field as Grace Kelly. Her beauty and elegance helped drive her acting career, but her personality did most of the work. She is my absolute favorite actress of Hollywood history, followed closely by Audrey Hepburn and Donna Reed. No actress today, in my opinion, can match or even come close to her in elegance and beauty. While actresses today win audiences by showing skin and flaunting their sex appeal, Grace used her stylish beauty and charming personality to win praises, all while remaining fully dressed in a classy yet sexy way.
Movies she appeared in include: "High Noon" 1952 "Mogambo" 1953 "Dial M for Murder" 1954 "Rear Window" 1954 "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" 1954 "To Catch a Thief" 1955 "High Society" 1956 And her last movie, though it was never released because of her untimely death: "Rearranged" 1982
Some famous leading men she was in movies with include: Jimmy Stewart Cary Grant Clark Gable Bing Crosby
She married Prince Rainier III of Monaco on April 18, 1956 and had three kids. Grace Kelly died too early and unexpectedly on September 13, 1982 while driving her car. She suffered a stroke which caused her to drive down a mountainside. She later died at the Monaco hospital.
To quote Jimmy Stewart: "You know, I just love Grace Kelly. Not because she was a princess, not because she was an actress, not because she was my friend, but because she was just about the nicest lady I ever met. Grace brought into my life as she brought into yours, a soft, warm light every time I saw her, and every time I saw her was a holiday of its own. No question, I'll miss her, we'll all miss her, God bless you, Princess Grace." Rear Window Kiss Rest In Peace |

She was captivating. She looked absolutely stunning in "To Catch a Thief." It's kind of sad to watch that movie and seeing her tooling along (in front of a blue screen of) the same road on which she perished. Indeed. Her son denies it was the same road. It'd be interesting to do some investigative research to see if it's true or not... |

I've seen parts of several of her movies. Very attractive, charismatic and all that, but not a very good actress. There are better actresses, but not many as attractive. Kinda like Marilyn Monroe. Very nice to look at, but lacking in skills. Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, both ugly as sin, but great actresses. YMMV |

This photo gives me the shivers, she's so beautiful in it. It's hard to stop looking at it. Makes me yearn for the old days, when women were women. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b367/thunderw21/001-22.jpg +1 Without gobs of makeup, 5 earrings in each ear, three in their lip, two in their nose, and one in their eyebrow. Along with tats all over their skin. +1 for Grace Kelly. She should be the role model of any woman who wishes to be beautiful. |

..................................................DAMN!........................................ That was hot. ETA: you know, that looked like a fantastic movie, especially compared with the flicks made nowadays where technology is meant to carry the film instead of great acting and directing. Old movies seem to sitck with you like a very good meal as today's movies seem like a cheap energy drink. |

Run, don't walk, to the nearest video store and rent it. An all-star cast, great dialogue and a spectacular script. It's a Hitchcock film, therefore it must be good. My favorite of his. |

An extremely beautiful woman and, according to Alfred Hitchcock, a total slut. She prolly wouldn't sleep with the old bastard. So he retaliates with rumor. "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" is one of my favorite films. According to him, she would sleep with pretty much everyone else but him. But yeah, I've never seen any confirmation of it from anyone else. |

Beautiful and glamorous woman. Yes, many women today resort to the classless dress, but I dare say we men aren't much better. Most men these days resemble hobos or drunks of old. Of course, we also have the ever popular urban thug image to help inspire glamor, sophistication, and class in their women equivalents. Sorry to spoil such a beautiful thread (Grace Kelly pictures) with my unneeded social commentary. |

If both men and women today acted and dressed as people in the olden days I think we would much better off. |

I for one dress like slob most of the time, yes. Put this thread to good use: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=594939 |
