I need your help if possible,

I want to connect my son's Xbox 360 live to my computer, I have AT&T internet service, I called AT&T about connecting and they stated for a one time fee of $99.00 they could tell me how to connect, I told them let me think about this, I was  wondering if anyone could help, I have an AT&T box that sits on by desk that has the phone line going into it then into the computer, I have no other connections on the back of this box to connect the xbox, can anyone help me here and explain how to do this, and I'm not the smartest when it comes to computers.I turn them on and hope they run.

Thanks in advance.

Go to Staples and get yourself a wireless router.

Plug the modem into the router.

Plug your computers into the 1st port of switch on the router.
plug your xbox into the 2nd port on the switch on the router

Your done.

Or if you have a wireless network set up for your home, you can buy the Xbox 360 wireless reciever and it will hook up to your wireless internet, and a computer.

Doesn't even have to be a wireless router.  Check tigerdirect.com for any router, get yourself two cheap ethernet cables, and voila.  GTG.  IM me if you need any other directions or have any questions.

yeah, if possible avoid the wireless and just go with a direct wired to a router (if you're in the same room).  A 4 port router should be pretty cheap these days.

If you go wireless then you need to go through and set up the wireless security and passwords and all that.  Every time i go to my parents' or in-law's houses i have to fix some wireless nightmare because someone was messing with it...

Why does this part not surprise me?

Also, make sure the router you get is definitely compatible with Live, some routers (mine included) have some issues with NAT settings occasionally. This should help-
