Two threads, both about pets. Guess which one gets shit on within 10 posts?
Dog Thread Cat Thread Perhaps one of you people who hates cats can explain to the rest of us why you have such an overwhelming need to shit on any thread involving a cat of any sort. |

I tend to stay out of cat threads altogether due to allergies. There is literally nothing on Earth I'm more allergic to than cats. Not even anything I'm half as allergic to. Allergy testing has confirmed it. Heck I'm allergic too, but not that bad. Seriously, I'm so allergic to cats if I so much as sniff one my nose is running for 30 minutes. If I accidentally rub an eye after touching one my eye turns red and is burning for what feels like forever. I'm the same way with rabbits. It's the weirdest thing, I'm not allergic at all to any other animal except those two. Good thing is I'll never have cat lady as a wife/girlfriend. If not because that's a sure sign of being nutty, then for the simple reason that I would be literally unable to live with her. |

Allergy testing has confirmed it. Heck I'm allergic too, but not that bad. I am allergic to the point that Claritin will not fully suppress it, but will knock it back to the "i can feel it in the back of my head, waiting to pounce" feeling. Also, it seems that the cats KNOW that I am allergic. No matter where I go, if I go into a house with cats, they always gravitate to me. |

Yeah, I hear you on the allergy noise. I have two cats, but they stay outside 100% of the time.
They're good mousers, tho. That said, I don't get the "all dogs are the devil" or "all cats are the devil" people. They're just furry little machines with some limited emotions. Some are good for companionship. Some are good for work (hunting, sheperding, home defense, illegal underground animal fights, etc).
Others aren't good for anything but meat (if you're korean). |
| Cats, just like goldfish or Canadians, have no souls. Most people don't hate cats, they just have no use for them. All they do is eat, sleep, and pee on pillows. Dogs are social animals and bring comfort and warmth into the hearts of countless millions of people, daily. |

I have numerous theory's for the cat hating phenomena.
Cat haters are actually repressed homos who need to channel their frustration in another direction to keep from giving in to their twisted sexual urges. Cat haters were abused by their mothers and forced to wear dresses and panties and little Lacey socks to school and their hate is a desperate cry for recognition as a man and not some transgendered freak. Cat haters self esteem is in the gutter and hating cats is a pathetic cry for attention and their way of trying to be accepted by real men as one of them. |

Somebody makes a thread about an exotic pet, which happens to be something that a lot of folks here hunt, and a bunch of kitty lovers get their bloomers in a bunch when someone puts up a pic of a bobcat they shot? And then run to make a thread crying about it?
My, my, my. What a bunch of delicate flowers we have here. |

Cats aren't AS social as dogs, but they are somewhat social. Also, if you want to get real metaphysical, dogs probably don't have souls, either. |

Thread going the way you thought it would? Yup - 50% "the only good cat is a dead cat", and yet not one person will man up and explain why they feel the need to shit on any thread containing a cat. This is precisley what I expected to happen. I personally don't care if cats are killed or dead or whatever, and I have never killed a cat. But I don't like cats, for whatever reason, and given the opportunity, I'll harvest a bobcat. Many people feel differently, I understand. And, there is a difference between a house/yard cat and a bobcat, as far as pelt gathering is concerned. It would have to be a damn fine and different housecat for me to care about it's pelt. |

Look, I think we can all agree; Canadians don't have souls. Also, I think dogs have more worth than cats because dogs can be trained to do work, defend, and also make a larger emergency food ration than cats. |

etc).
