Hey guys,
Was thinking about a shotgun in .410. I really like the Model 9410, It looks pretty sweet. Anyone own one of these? I was also thinking about the Mossberg 500 in .410. Its about half of what they want (retail) for the 9410. I pretty much excluded the Remington 870, as they only make a Wingmaster model, and not an express. I guess I'd like some general information about these guns, if anyone has insight to offer.
Prime purpose would be for cottontails, snowshoes, and maybe if I feel lucky, some grouse.  Any input is aprecieated.

Unless you just want a toy don't buy anything in .410 that doesnt have a 3in. chamber.

Hi Griz

I wouldn't want to be the guinea pig on the new 9410. For that money you could get a used 870 in 410 or even a still NIB Ithaca 37 Light 20 gauge. With the economy like it is I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of guns for sale after the first of the year. I just bought a near cherry 870 Wingmaster 20 gauge at a pawn shop for 165.
When I was 10 my parents gave me a 410 and it seemed OK except for wing shots. When my same age cousin showed up with a Winchester model 12 in 20 gauge I saw how much better it was than a 410 and began my career as a gun trader by selling my 410.
