I heard on the interweb they are made from the remains of cremated enemies from all foreign wars.

Tougher than steel HK mags, more reliable, and very well priced.

they were/are actually made for the mythical Masada which we may never lay hands on.

but they work quite well in the AR15 style rifles.

At the risk of sounding ignorant about the all mighty Pmag, these can be stored loaded unlike the old Thermolds and Orlites which aren't supposed to be stored loaded for the long haul correct?

Yes but you need to snap the cover it comes w/ over the feed lips to prevent them from spreading.

ETA: Magpul really nailed it w/ these mags.

They come with covers that relieve tension off of the feed lip and keep dirt out.  You're supposed to use those.  I don't know if you "have" to.

If you do, you are supposed to use the included "lid" to take the pressure off the feed lips.

I've got ONE pmag. In DE.

I order it as an afterthought from Rainier back in September. Now I wish I'd ordered more, and some Glock amgs too.

According to answers from the Magpul Industry forum, you don't "have to."  Personally, I only use the covers (which can also be used as go-no-go feed lip gauges) for loaded Pmags I don't immediate access to.

They are great mags; in fact, they are nearly as good as the Lancer L5s which have steel feed lips.

I ordered mine from eGuns the day after the election.  I'd always kinda been interested in trying PMags, and all the talk about them spurred me to order a few.

I got the tracking email on Monday, and they should be here early next week.  They sat at the starting FedEx location for 3 days.

And now that Ive had them for a week or so and played with them and such........yes ....I do like them better.

I like the feel, the trick little cover, the look , and the performance is every bit as good as a USGI aluminum unit.

I dont see the use of the window as you cant see whether theres only a few rounds left or its empty........but other than that , the std P's are worth a few extra bucks over the GI stuff.
