I tried one at a training class and learned that single point slings were not for me.

Vickers / BFG 2pt FTW

I ordered a Troy without trying a single point.

I now have a Vickers 2 point

nothing against Troy product, single point just isn't for me.  I never felt like I was in contol of the rifle when my hands were off it.

YMMV

One of mine is homemade, the other I can't remember the brand.

Sorry.

FWIW, you can make one for a few $$ and 5 minutes of sewing time. Once upon a time there was a big thread in GD - a plastics company that made the appropriate buckles was giving away free samples of their buckles, and I think half of GD got free buckles and made their own slings.

+1.

All slings suck. Singles suck more than others. Try the Vickers or the V-Tac.

I think you a finally on the right track.

If you want QD swivels try this QD 2pt Sling

I really like the adjustability and it's comfortable for long periods of move-and-shoot.

of course YMMV

Emdom "Military Moron" sling is nice. Recently used this one for 7 months. Easy to diconnect when getting back into the truck.

Specops Wolf Hook is fine.

Are you looking to attach it to body armor/harness, or loop it over neck/shoulder?

Edit: If I hadn't been mounted, I probably wouldn't have used the single-point. Great for that, bad for running around constantly.

So, they're good if you want to sing soprano?

I'm thinking of a single point sling but the advantage of a two point is that it steadies your hold.

that is why I was thinking of getting this
http://www.rstacticalgear.com/pd-bds-tactical-dual-sling.cfm
because it is either a single or dual point
