So, if they've proven they can take out a T-888 with a Raufoss Mk.211, why do they continue to make pump 12-gauge shotguns and 9mm Glocks their primary defense against said terminators?

I ask this everytime I watch the show.
I would carry no handgun less than .460 S&W Magnum or .500 S&W Magnum. I would carry rifles in the biggest calibers possible... A M82A1 CQ would be a bit impractical to tote around daily, but a 16" barrel .375 H&H Tikka T3 with an Aimpoint would beat the crap out of a 12 gauge for shooting terminators beyond 25 yards. We shouldn't sneeze at 12 gauge slugs within their performance envelope. Saboted 450 grains at 1500-1750 feet will give 18-21" of penetration at 7 yards. In flesh. THe saboted slugs will also penetrate SAE 1010 .138" steel plate at 25 yards. Unfortunately that seems insufficent for terminators unless they are close. |
| I REALLY didn't like tonight's show. The ending was horrible, and the previews for next season made even less sense. They are branching out WAY to much and adding to many things in. Fox also said they are moving the show to Friday night next season, which is not a good thing. This show has so much potential, but I'm afraid there maybe only be another 1/2 season left. |

I for one like the development of the show. I KNEW that oriental hottie was up to something. What I want to know is; why do they want to keep Cameron away from John? Is she secretly up to something for Skynet? She SAID she was sent back by the old John to protect the young John, but the current players would have NO WAY to prove or disprover her, so there could be ulterior motives at work. The possibilities stagger the mind!
And I STILL want Cameron to be a pleasure model!!

Handloading for the win.
300WinMag with 163grn M2 AP manages to almost perform as good as my 50BMG with M2 AP at closer ranges. Just think what a 300RUM would do. I never got hold of Barnes 125grn Copper Solids, I'm sure those at 3400+fps would prove interesting as well. Sarah and her brilliant son sure are stupid shits for what it's worth. You'd think they'd be handloading and getting some portable AP capability, beyond the 50BMG. John Conner must play too much Counter Strike when he's not busy running from terminators. |

They have to keep a low profile, accomplish their mission, and protect themselves not only from Terminators but also from various humans who are out to stop or kill them.
