| So I went to the Puyallup, WA gun show today.........there were at least 10 times the number of people there compared to the last one in October. AR tables were super busy......The prices were all over the board........I laughed at some joker trying to sell non windowed pmags for $28 a piece. Still quite a bit of stuff out there though....if you got the $$. |

I've been buying as much stuff I can get my hands on. Rifles, high capacity magazines, lowers, etc...because the future is uncertain.
I won't pay the crazy prices though. I find dealers in small towns that are respectable people who wouldn't be in business if it weren't for customers like myself. I tell them that if they jack up their prices I won't be back to buy anything again. Everything I have bought post election has been at pre-election prices. Buying in bulk also helps. Dealers also have new stuff coming in all the time. They have stuff that they ordered before the election that they bought and paid for at normal pricing. I found one dealer that had 6 Colt 6920's being delivered after the first of the year. He said 2 rifles were not spoken for. He was selling them for $1300 a piece. That's the normal price, I told him I will take 2 please :) I'm not sure how long this strategy will work, but you just have to be patient to find what you are looking for. The other way to save money is to order directly from the manufacturer and wait like everyone else. But at least you won't be paying the crazy prices. |

I had never seen so many people at one of the shows. Prices on AR mags and accessories were ridiculous. I was shopping for a cheap tactical rifle case for two ARs I am building. The cheapest was $40 and it was the cheapest made case I had ever seen. I came home and ordered two UTG tactical cases from Optics Planet for $29.95 each. |

Show me proof that the Colt Logo is worth the extra $600, and the out of spec bullshit, and I'll stop. |

Obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That's what's great about this site and America for that matter.
There seems to be a lot of brand loyalty on this site, which is probably a good thing. You know what, I like all the brands except for the junk brands. I know Colt is not junk. In this market, if I can find quality to buy at a decent price, I am going to buy it. Because to me, I might not have the chance to do that again with the uncertainty of the new admininistration. Buying a couple Colt 6920's at $1300 a piece is not paying too much. There are people willing to pay close to $2000 for one right now. Just look on Gun Broker. I am posting a threat from M4carbine.net that I am sure has been reposted many times before. But it does a good job at breaking down the different manufacturing processes that some of the different popular manufacturers may or may not use.
