First time, I used my Chilton manual and replaced the radiator and radiator hoses for my daily driver. It was slowly leaking coolant.
The old coolant had this white colored liquid in it. What's that about? The coolant resevoir tank had this tan-colored coating on the bottom. What's that about? Anyway, it's done. Yeah, I'm not rich. I don't buy a new car every 2 years and I have sections covered with primer applied from a spray can. Yeah, it's ghetto. |

Honda Civic I replaced the radiator in a friends Civic last year. Most of the coolant passages in the radiator were blocked and the engine kept overheating because of the lack of coolant circulation. He hasn't had any problems with it since. I'll second what the other poster said, sounds like stop-leak. |
