Can anyone give me some more ideas for CMP affiliated organizations?
While I've sent my membership renewal into the Garand Collector's Asociation, they are extremely backlogged. So I'm looking for an equivalent club, etc. that I can use to get my CMP order processed sooner rather than later. GAC indicated they've got thousands of renewals in the mail in the last month or so. I'm afraid the M1 carbine I'd like, may not be there by the time that the GAC gets me reinstated. I've been through the affiliated list at the CMP, and there's way too many to sift through (Lots of ROTC programs and schools). So....If anyone's got some more ideas I'd really appreciate it Thanks |

I mailed my GAC renewal and check on 11/24.
I've called them twice, including today. They have still not processed the paperwork due to the backlog (I was told they had recently received something like 7 or 8 thousand renewals in a period of a month or so. So it's been at least 2 and a half weeks, and no idea when they'll get them all done. CMP started taking orders for the M1 Carbine on December 4th. I don't know how many of these rifles they have to offer. But I am somewhat concerned about their ongoing availabiltiy. That's why I'm pursuing another soure for a qualifying organization. I'll probably call CMP tomorrow and try to find out some more info. thanks for the input |
