Retired highspeed lift operator for a transport company in Dallas.
I am now pursuing a second career as a traveling lump checker (in lieu of mammogram). If that doesn't work out I may try being a wine taster, fortune teller or sexual advisor to reformed pole dancers. |

What do you do? How long? Machinist, specifically CNC machines. Been doing this for 17-ish years give or take a year. What is the percentage of your job here? LOL Que? I will compile this info on this post.... updates offered upon request! Reading on, I think your second question is in reference to how much time do we spend surfing arfcom from work. If that's the case, mostly I don't. The last shop I worked at I surfed quite a bit but I had more cycle time and less futzing around with the part while it ran. My current employer has more demanding parts and thus unnecessary distractions can lead to an expensive "oops" that I don't want to do. |

Art Supervisor at a major Midwestern ad agency who dodged major layoffs today. I've been in the creative field for 16 or 17 years, at this agency for 13. In spite of my post count I don't spend all that much time here. I check Arfcom in the few minutes between jobs crossing my desk. Lots of jobs cross my desk + typing ability + quick reader = lots of posts. |
