My son wants xbox live for Christmas. The xbox is 2 floors below the computer at this

time, so I probably need to go the wireless route.

I have comcast internet and run Windows XP.

Please recommend me a setup.

Just get a wireless router and plug it directly into your modem, then get the wireless adapter for the Xbox. Make sure to set up the security on the router though.

You really DON'T want to go wireless. It will be alot laggier.

Ideally, you want to direct connect CAT5 LAN cable and put your Xbox's IP address in your router's DMZ host.

Get a decent router and it shouldn't be that bad at all.

Netgear ethernet extenders

Basically sends the internet through your wall outlets.

+1 on the wired router, be a man and drill some holes.

(my house as plaster walls which play hell with a wireless router)
