When did Florence become a suburb of Eugene and what the hell supports all the commercialism in Florence?  We went out there last summer and couldn't believe the changes in 25 yrs.
Does my surprise indicate my approaching senility, or WTF?
I really liked the old Fishermans Wharf, Don's Beachcomber Tavern.  They're still there, but...

It was bound to grow.  It's on the coast and on(very near) the dunes rec area.  Hard to hold back the tourists and the comercialization that follows.  Tourists have always annoyed me, except when I'm one of them. [:D]
