So with all the talk about ammo tax and all that. Should I hold on to the bulk shotgun shells that I have or get rid of it. I dont really think im gonna shoot 6 cases. I would of course keep some but have about 3 1/2 cases that I have thats a mix of reloaded and factory. The rest of it is waterfowl  and turkey ammo. also I have about 2 thousand .410's I dont really think I will shoot this much shot shells in another 2 -3 years and by that time they may start coming uncrimped. my ? is should I just keep it all or get rid of what I dont want. I just dont want to be screwed a year from now when shotshells are $10-15 a box of target 71/2 shot.  what do ya'll think?

Keep them or shoot them.

If you save nothing else, keep every round of the .410-don't know what it's going for in MO, but in IA the cheap stuff is $2-$4 more expensive than similar 12 gauge. If you don't use much of it you can feel assured in having a near lifetime supply.

I don't think a few drops of super glue (or wax or something) would hurt
as a "preventative measure".

Once that primer goes off, the glue will give and the round will go off like normal.

I refer all shotgun shell questions to Axl.

"May start to come uncrimped" is no reason to get rid of shells.  Besides, reloads are almost worthless to most other people.  They're not eating anything, keep 'em.  If the crimps come out, recrimp shells as you need them.

6 cases of 12 gage is a good start for a month of shooting around here.

Keep all you have.

thanks all. The reloads were done by my father in law before he passed away. He was a competitive sporting clays shooter, they are all quality shells and shoot well. The .410s are all factory. I have around a thousand bismuth duck and goose shells and about 1500 dove and quail factory loads. I really just dont ever shoot much else than waterfowl and then dove a few times a year. I guess if I had the money to shoot sporting clays enough id do that. anyhoo thanks.

If you don't shoot them now you will shoot them later.

Take a friend to range. That is a good way to use them.

Send them to me.  They are probably expired anyway
