This was done in the past, but things change. What is the origin of your signature line, or lines? The Juvenal quote means literally "Who guards the guardians themselves?" Or: Who polices the police? WHo governs the government? etc. ..... The Heinlein quote is my personal favorite of his. The quotes from me are just common sense in a senseless world..... Scott ;b ------------------ QUIS CUSTODIET IPSOS CUSTODES?? -Juvenal =============== SUPPORT THE SECOND AMENDMENT!!!!! -D. Scott Hewitt EMT-B =============== An armed society is a polite society. -Robert Anson Heinlein =============== Of all the things that start "free", Freedom is both the most expensive, and the most precious. -D. Scott Hewitt EMT-B =============== |

I've always wondered why no one bothered to ask about mine, but it's been the source of many of my allusions to 'our house is on fire' and 'our houses are burning' in my posts. The lines come from American Poet, John Pierpoint in - Warren's Address to the American Soldiers, Before the Battle of Bunker Hill STAND! the ground's your own, my braves! Will you give it up to slaves? Will ye look for greener graves? Hope ye mercy still? What's the mercy despots feel! Hear it in the battle peal! Read it on yon bristling steel! Ask it--ye who will. Fear ye foes who kill for hire! Will ye to your homes retire? Look behind you! they're afire! And, before you, see Who have done it!--From the vale On they come!--and will ye quail?-- Leaden rain and iron hail Let their welcome be! In the God of battles trust! Die we may--and die we must:-- But, O, where can dust to dust Be consign'd so well, As where heaven its dews shall shed On the martyr'd patriot's bed, And the rocks shall raise their head, Of his deeds to tell! by John Pierpoint One of the oldest Revolutionary War poems! Quoted: I change mine fairly often: sometimes something almost witty, sometimes something meaningful, and sometimes something pretty idiotic. Today's sig line is a quote from Fight Club, when Tyler asks Jack what celebrity he'd like to fight. Bless you brother. Tyler |

I have her whole series on DVD. She is a half human, half demon ninja girl who goes to an all-girls college. She fights her enimies with... sex... I know, I know... Tyler Durden <---- [%|] |

Here's an obscure one: G.F. Handel, Alexander's Feast, or The Power of Musick (1736) Ode in Honour of St. Ceclilia Text by John Dryden/Newburgh Hamilton Part II Revenge, revenge, Timotheus cries; See the Furies arise! See the snakes that they rear, How they hiss in their hair, And the sparkles that flash in their eyes! Behold, a ghastly band, Each a torch in his hand! Those are Greacian ghosts, that in battle were slain, And unburied remain Inglorious on the plain. Revenge, revenge, Timotheus cries; See the Furies arise! See the snakes that they rear, How they hiss in their hair, And the sparkles that flash in their eyes! Of course, this may change at any time ... I don't believe I've yet discovered the 'perfect' one for me. |

I chose mine because settal new worlds, and expanding human civilization to new frontiers is the single greatest event in human history. It must be prused and it must be made to happen. Whithout chalenges civilization stagnate, colonizing the planets is the challenge of our time. |

Mine is an actual bumper sticker that I bought at Knob Creek. Reason being, I drive in rush hour traffic twice a day on I-75 in Ohio surrounded by mindless drones who have no business posessing a license or even breathing my air because they can't think to check a mirror before a lane change because god forbid that they would miss a second of conversation on their freakin cell phone or why in the hell should they speed up over 45 MPH just because they're in the hammer lane jerkin their pud to some Bjork tune and they got a soccer ball sticker in the rear window of their Windstar because they need to be stabbed in the neck with the lid from a sardine can and have their flippin corneas burnt out with a butane lighter AAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH. Anyways, I thought that it was funny. Chuck |

The firearm gives man a power only gods can claim. The ability to reach out your hand and strike an foe at a distance with a thunderbolt. Shiva is the goddess of life and death. Her dance is the eternal wheel of life and death. My signature line is a quote from an ancient Hindu text. When the first atomic bomb was detonated one of the men who created it spoke these words after witnessing the blast. |
| Been using this around the net for three or four years now. Sort of reminding people to celebrate our freedoms - don't take them for granted else they'll be snatched from us like a thief in the night. Americans are unique in these freedoms have formed a core of our nation from the very moment of our birth. |
