If you paid for that work to be done where I live it would be probably around $15,000 maybe more Wait until we're done. It would have cost significantly more than $15,000 to have someone else do it. I've spent right at $10,000 on materials alone at this point including the 46,000lbs of rock that was delivered last week that I got at a fraction of retail. |

NICE! I love pergolas... I'm trying to figure out a way to get one on my new stamped concrete patio next year. Might have to wait a year tho. Whatever you do, don't pay somebody to do it. The one we built is 16'x40' with 8x8" posts and the little 8x8' area on the corner to cover the grill. If I had paid somebody to come build it it would have cost around $10k. Me and David built it ourselves in two days including staining it for less than $3k and it was super easy, dare I say even fun. |

That is truly amazing. You might not be smart, but you sure can work hard.
You should have seen me at the cedar place when I got there and forgot my list of wood. I had to borrow a pen and paper so I could draw out the design I had in my head to make a list of the wood I needed to buy for it.
