Gander Mountain has a 50 round box of Black Hills 68gn BTHP remans for $40 ...

Would these be OK to sight in a scope?

I don't know if the reman makes them less accurate than a factory loading.  FYI, it was all LC 03 stamped brass.

Out of curiosity was it red box or blue box?

I'm not sure what you mean by being "OK to sight in a scope".  You should sight in your scope for one particular load and have the adjustment dope for it as well.  All zeros are ammo dependent.

Blue box.  I think a 25 yard battle sight is less picky than someone shooting dimes at 300 yards

I was just wondering if the black hills reman stuff shot decent groups or patterns

The blue box is OK for blasting ammo.

I'd still sight my rifle in with the ammo that I held in decent quantity, and intended to "use".

1.  get Sierra ballistic software.  Sight in at 25 yards on a target for your battle zero.  For those who don't understand, you read the ballistic chart and it will say something like if you are sighting in for 200 yards, the impact is say .25 inches high at 25 -making up a number.

2.  you sight in with ammo you intend to use when shtf.  Everything else is just practice and practice ammo.

If you print out the ballistic arch for a particular round, you can get the points of impact at say 150 yards, 200 yards, 225 yards and so forth.  Then you either adjust using Kentucky windage or adjusting the scope or iron sights.
