So the gays are protesting Prop. 8 downtown tonight.
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=4728411 I am thinking of going and walking around with them, only with a sign indicating my support for Prop 8. Any humorous ideas? |

Go with :
"Being gay is not natural. Real patriots always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning."
Or perhaps: "Marriage has been around for millennia and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, marrying children is still OK and divorce is still illegal."

Quoted:
"I am a moral busybody pushing my views on others when it isn't any of my business and am thus no different from Sarah Brady" Little big though. Exactly... leave them alone if you want to be left alone... otherwise your a hypocrite Do you really think sarah brady will ever quit? Once she and all the other gun grabbers quit then I will accept gay marriage. Deal? |

[>:/] When did voicing a dessenting opinion become "pushing my views on others." Voicing your opinion...or as some would say "Freedom of speech" is what America has been about...and I hope continues to be!!! |

I never understood demonstrations and protests. Consisting of sign waving and angry shouting yet changes nothing, often resulting in getting thumped by the police and a night in jail followed by a court appearance a month later resulting at the very least in the loss of money. Sure, you get a chance to appear on the news, either hopping around like an idiot, or in flex cuffs looking like an even bigger idiot.
If the gays want to make idiots of themselves, why should you be concerned? Let them go to their little protest and have there 10 seconds of fame. Stay home, pop in a cool DVD with a nice cold beer and enjoy your evening knowing that prop 8 passed and there is little to nothing the gays can do about it outside of this kind of thing. |

Quoted: Yes, they do.Elections have consequences. I got that from another thread. If prop. 8 hadn't passed, then the gay communities would have been demanding that the results be excepted. Yet they do not seem to want to validate the results that were not what they wanted. ![]() |

Go armed? Seriously, if you're going to put yourself in that kind of position, make sure you have something to defend yourself with. This is a REALLY bad idea. If you would not feel safe, avoid the situation. Where I come from , you don't strap your irons on and look for trouble. You wear irons if you see fit, and in LA, it means he's probably carrying illegally, and avoid trouble when you can. |

Exactly... leave them alone if you want to be left alone... otherwise your a hypocrite Nobody's "doing" anything to them. A judge MADE UP a "right" that has never existed in the past. The people, even here, don't agree. There's NOTHING in the constitution about a right to gay marriage (well, excpet now, where is says NO RIGHT TO GAY MARRIAGE), there IS a right to keep and bear arms. There's nothing hypocritical about it. |

Quoted:
"I LIKE DISCRIMINATION" Simple, honest and to the point. Really? What's discriminatory about it? How is anyone being singled out? NOBODY, gay, straight, or undecided, can legally marry someone of the same sex. That's TOTALLY neutral, not discrimination by any definition. ETA, it's not about "rights," don't buy into that. It's about the state telling non gays that they WILL accept, rent to, do business with, learn about in school, etc. It's not about accpetance, it's about bringing the state INTO this, not keeping it out. |

Please tell me you are just being a smart-asses prick and you're not actually this fucking stupid.
