Turn the financial aid shut on them and they are willing to sell their grandmothers... Hell, Russia by itself ain't even a world power anymore. Their nukes are in the Ukraine. And the number of nukes they used to own has always been greatly exaggerated. The once so great red army sells their AK74's for less than it costs to make them or willing to trade for porn mags and cigarettes. Not to mention the red fleet which is rusting away. They have no business whatsoever to mingle in the free worlds affairs. They can't even handle their own internal affairs. Kinda like the boy wanting to play football with the men. I think it kind of amusing that the Russians are pointing fingers at us when they flooded the small arms market with tens of millions of weapons. All the killing going on in 3rd world countries ain't happening with small arms prodiced by evil American gun manufacturers, it happening with AKs, RPKs, and PKMs. Not to mention all the other heavy ordnance the Russians gave away willy-nilly to every Carlos the Jackal who professed communist leanings.
Russians have a power play angle here. They are probably hoping that they can further split American politics by bringing up gun control again. |

Russia and especially Vladamir Putin are our bestest of friends now that they are helping us with the "war on terrorism". When the time comes to round up the gun owning domestic terrorists in the U.S., they will again help by giving tactical assistance by way of the lessons they learned in Chechnya and Vlad from the KGB. Ain't global harmony great?
