Drinking a bottle of Left Hand Milk Stout. This is about the nastiest beer I have ever tasted but since we don't have a priest in the family I am not going to pour the rest of it out and waste it. This is some nasy shit.

Guinness sucks unless you like it so does buttwiper.

keep in mind milk or lactose based beers are an acquired taste.

You must be either a:

A> Mexican hobo or

B> Yankee spring breaker

Worst beer I've ever had was something from Rogue, can't remember the name but I actually poured it out.. tasted like toothpaste & orange juice

This is awesome beer.   If anyone is ever looking for the best beer/desert pairing a milk stout and chocolate brownie.   The best milk stout period is

Mackeson Triple X stout.  FWIW milk stouts usually don't have milk in them they have lactose sugar in them which makes them sweeter (lactose won't ferment)

and gives it a distinct flavor.

Shiner Bock is absolutely 100% teh suck ... period ...

Once again - it sucks - period.

That said, IMO most of the Left Hand stuff isn't really that great either, however, their Pilsner what-cha-ma-call-it thing isn't too bad ... but there are much better available for those who live on the Front Range.

I've never hand Left Hand's attempt at a Milk Stout but if it's anything like Lancaster Brewing Co's Milk Stout, I'd love to try it.

Evidently you have no clue what a Milk Stout is. It's called that because Lactose Sugar is used in the brewing process. IMHO, it's a quite tasty Stout.

It does indeed have a distinct flavor.

I tried Shiner Bock for the first time last night, after hearing over and over how great it was. It was . . . ok. Not bad, but nothing special either.

The special qualities come out when it is consumed next to a campfire on a South Texas deer lease around the third week in November.

This, plus it was a little too sweet.  I like my beer clear-the-room-the-next-day hoppy.

Personal taste I guess.  I think there are quite a few cream stouts out there, and given the proper mood, I rather enjoy them.  As dark as Guiness, but somewhat smoother.  Good for cold nights.

Left hand beer?  That would be Southpaw, right?
