Any freemasons around? Particularly moderators, etc...? Thanks in advance Hiram |
i'm a little intimidated. i've been on a tour of the lodge here (after the $16,000,000 remodeling job) and most of the members seem to be very well off... |
Internal qualities are what make a man suitable to be a mason---and are what a mason should use as the qualifications of any candidate. ETA--- In other words, your social status or income level are not proper yardsticks of your eligibility. |
I didn't know you were a mod. |
Well, as for the Masonic Lodge, the MM degree is the highest. I'm not sure what you mean by 'upper echelon' unless you mean York/Scottish Rite and/or Shrine. I'm York/Shrine if that's what you have a question about. |

Quoted: How would one go about joining/finding Masons in their area? Inquiring minds want to know http:///images/smilies/icon_smile.gif Look through your local phone book to find a nearby lodge, or go to google and search for "Grand Lodge of <insert your state here>". Most Grand Lodge websites that I've visited have a section with lodge listings by town/zip/county/something to that effect. |

MM Here, Officer in Rose Croix line, Past presiding officer of all york rite bodies (no KYCH yet), Honorary Legion of Honor from DeMolay, member of AMD, YRC, Rosicrucians, etc.. Check it out the lodge welcome or friendship night if you're interested, but don't join out of curiosity, if you join, you will get the most out of it if you are willing and able to commit the time and energy to it to learn and participate in ritual. |
