Story's about Geraldo gota gun in Afghan, but then there's the quick blurb about Hemingway. http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/ap/20011211/wl/attacks_rivera_1.html Novelist Ernest Hemingway, who covered World War II as a reporter, angered fellow journalists in August 1944 when he joined a band of French resistance fighters. They were concerned about him blurring lines between journalists and soldiers. Hemingway kept firearms, bazookas and grenades in his hotel in Paris, leading to an appearance before a military panel on allegations he was violating Geneva Convention rules concerning news correspondents. He claimed the weapons were in his room only because the military lacked storage space. |
| Im no fan of Geraldo, but he is one of the very few newsman calling the Teleban a pack of RATS. Who knows he might get to like the feeling of security that only a hunk of iron on the hip can give. Even a pea shooter feels better than a NO shooter. Lets face it, if youcarry one for awhile, you start feeling awfully naked without one. It will be interesting to see if he still wants to carry when he gets back. I give him a yr an he'll be packing here too. JB |
