Ok, I'll make this short. My Dell laptop computer went tits up. After calling Dell several times, I finally got the ok to return it for repair. They sent me a box via DHL next day delivery. No problems. I get the call from Dell that the computer is fixed and on it's way back to me. I wait. Friday comes around, and still no laptop. I call DHL, and the fun begins. They said the address (mine) is not valid. Granted, it's rural out here, but I have been here for 2+ years and I assured them the address is valid. I left directions and two phone numbers. I was assured the computer would be here monday. I called again on sunday to make sure, and got "everything is handled". Verified that they have the numbers and the directions. Well, guess what I didnt get on monday???? NO package, no call, nothing. I call again and get the same spiel. Wrong address, blah blah blah. So we try again. Tuesday rolls around, and I call several times to make sure the laptop is on the way. I am assured that this time it really IS on the way, and that I should have it soon. At 4 pm I get a call..... "sir, the computer could not be delivered, the driver was not able to find the address" It took every bit of self control to keep from screaming at the top of my lungs. How inept are these people?? How stupid must you be to fuck this up so badly? Or is it just that they don't give a shit about what they do and how it affects people? I finally got my point across that they needed to give me my computer immediately, and was able to arrange to meet the driver on the interstate about 45 mins from my house. I had to go to work anyway, so it was not out of my way. We agreed to meet at 6 pm. At 630 pm this asshole finally shows up. At this point I wanted to get the asshole out of the car at gun point and beat him until I got tired, but there were lots of people watching, and I had to get to work. I made sure to tell him how fucked up the whole company is, and his response? "well, after the 1st of the year, we are only shipping internationally". I said "thank God" and left. Fucking assholes. |
That is the best news I have heard in a long time. Fuck DHL. Fuck them in the ass with a big rubber dick. Then break it off and beat them with the rest of it. |

DHL won't even deliver to a part of TX I was just in. They deliver it to Dallas and then the mail man brings it up to where I was. That's BS. However they had no problem delivering stuff to us in Zibo City in freaking China. They were the fastest through customs there. |

Awesome. Those dipshits couldn't read the shipping instructions OR the BIG SIGN on my front door that said Deliver to apartment leasing office like all the other delivery companies do. Nope. Left my brand fucking new laptop in front of the door on a day it was supposed to rain. -Foxxz |
DHL is a much larger a company than UPS, bigger than UPS and FedEx combined. DHL north america is the smallest of five divisions, Europe and Asia absolutely dwarf it. Airborne is one of five smaller US shipping companies DHL bought over the last decade, they have no interest in competing for residential doorstep deliveries, they make their money in international shipping. They tried, painted a bunch of acquired trucks with the corporate colors and everything, but there just wasn't a demand for a fourth domestic doorstep delivery company. If you need to ship anything over about a ton into the country though, they're your best bet. |
