I'm still carrying the Gerber that I bought ten years ago, I never liked how the Leatherman's pliers folded out forcing you to grip the inside of the handles where all the other tools are kept. Apparently Gerber doesn't make them like this anymore, what are y'all carrying these days?

LM Charge Ti, wave, original
LM Juice (the big one)
Sog power plier
Victorinox swisstool

I carry the LM Charge the most because I like pocket clip carry.

My wife keeps the juice in her purse.

There's a tool in each vehicle and a couple in the house.

The SOGs are the coolest tools IMO, I've been really impressed with mine.

I broke 2 gerbers like yours before they changed the mechanism.  I didn't like how the gerbers pinch your hands.

Gerber MultiPlier 600 needle nose in black.  Got it for under $20.  Was planning on the Wave, but couldn't pass this one up.
I've also got an older Gerber in my BOB, and a slightly newer one in the truck.  It has the replaceable hacksaw blade and I can't stand it.
Have a Gerber Artifact on the POV key ring.

I have 2 leathermans, 3 gerbers, and 1 Kershaw.  None of them are carried unless I'm expecting their use, but they are dispersed between vehicles, ATV, and toolboxes.  They're all good tools.

I used to think Leatherman made the best multitool, but after the last Presidential I promised myself I'd never buy another new Leatherman tool.   The bright side was that I discovered the Victorinox tools.  I got a better tool which came w/ an excellent 1/4" bit driver/ratchet.

I carry a Leatherman "Micra" on me everyday as well as a Swiss Army "Champion". Depending on what vehicle I am driving, I have a standard Leatherman, a Leatherman "Wave" or a Gerber like the one pictured in your post.......

In what ways is this better than the Wave? I have 2 Wave's because I've run across them for cheap. They work alright.

They repaired the screw holes for the pocket clip on my AR 3.00BB pocket knife at no charge. (I screwed up and cross threaded one when replacing the broken pocket clip on it)
