I cant help but notice how high the opening bids are at Gunbroker (and other auction sites) I am not slamming them just wondering if the sellers realize that many of the items being sold can be bought for much cheaper else where. The only reason I say this is that if given a choice to buy from gunbroker, gunner like us then I would prefer to do that but I cant afford to pay an extra $50 (and up). Thank goodness for ARFCOM. |

There are some excellent deals to be had on GB. It's usually the real auctions: private sellers without a reserve price. I bought a sweet S&W model 19 there a couple years ago for $200 shipped. It's gorgeous and one helluva shooter. It's just like Ebay anymore. You have to pan for the gold but it's there. |

There are some deals out there to be had, like the East German AK sling that's on it's way for $6 shipped, or the like-new S&W 3913 that I found from a local dealer on GunsAmerica for $315. It's just like anything else... you have to sort through the "rare" $100/box Black Talons before you get to the good stuff. |
gunbroker has a listing charge I think???? Deals can be found on there and auction arms as well. I've found a few pistols for good deals. Sometimes you have to branch outside of the basic "pistol" only search as some guys tend to drop them into historic or other b.s. categories. M&P 45s are found at really good prices, I picked one up for over 100 less than a local guy who prices very low for the most part. |

I got an $800 gun for $550 shipped on there. I emailed the guy during the auction with my offer. Once the auction ended, he contacted me and we did the deal. Private sellers - GB has deals. Dealers - they are the same everywhere, they have expenses that boost their costs. |
Nope, only pay if you sell your item. If no one bids on it then you can do an automatic relist too. So you can put a gun on there and forget about it. |
