I am so sick of hearing the word racist now... I think the people who are using it against us today are cheapening this word, cheapening the experiences that people have gone through, and making people just look down right stupid. When are we going to stand up and say enough? When are we going to say as Republicans, both black and white, You will not call me that anymore...When are we going to start saying something to our bosses at work about co-workers etc? I am fired up today--I am sick of the name calling from those on the left and you guys should be too...If we are not racists, we are Uncle Tom's, if not that--we are intolerant... If we don't stand up we are going to be taking this shit for the next 20 some odd days and God forbid if he gets in.. This is so wrong....And we have to do something to make it right... |

that's why the polls are F%#ked up, people scared to say what they think O' and the other side just lies.............. www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=767716 |
If only the media would report this... |

Political Correctness at it's worst. Andrew Wilkow is discuccing this very topic on Sirius "Patriot" channel right now. I love his show, and he is worth every cent I pay for the subscriptions to Sirius. Just hit "Laucnh player, then Talk Entertainment, then "Patriot Channel, 144" Hit those, and you can listen for free. |
Yes and we just sit by and let it happen---it is unbelievable to me... |
But what is so funny now is it is not just black people...White people are tossing that word around like it is nothing now..If you are white and you are not voting for Obama--RACIST...If you are black and not voting for Obama--RACIST... What in the hell is going on in this country... |
What is going on is this: Only white people can be racist. Blacks, hispanics, jews, what have you... Impossible to be racist. White guy minding his own business = racist. White people are throwing the term around because of white guilt and a complete lack of morals and self respect. Those that are saying it have an agenda. The will do anything and say anything to get Obama into office and sow fear into the hearts and minds of those who aren't voting for Obama. Once the race card is played, all dialog stops and anything said to or about Obama becomes a racist statement from an obvious racist. |
Oh no no...I have been called a racist for not wanting to vote for Obama... Racism..It's not just for white people anymore... |
Equality! It does work.

as a middle aged white guy..who up to 2 years ago was a fairly successfull Business manager and it thankfull he is too sick to work anymore because.... I am a RAcist,,at least according to around 98% of all the black /hispanic/asian/gay/fillipino/iranian/ iraqi/arab I have tried to teach, guide, schedule, assign tasks to, ask to work over time, lay down the rules to and write up or repremand in any way shape or form for the last 15years., so, if you can explain it to me, I would appreciate it. there are at least a dozen people of color that I have helped advance, gotten due and earned raises and promotions, and have always tried to give everyone a fair shake period. I didnt used to be a racist wasnt raised to think anything of color vs ability to do the job, but the general attitude I have gotten pretty much has put me to the edge of it at this point.. and its funny,,I dont care Obama is black, I dont care that McCAin is OLD,,I do care they are both socialists at least and ones for sure a Marxist at most. I am NOT going to the camps cheerfully when my time comes,,trust me |
I'm very pissed about it. The left still whines and laments about the McCarthy era; if Obama's elected, no one will be able to criticize his presidency in public without being branded a "racist" and dismissed. It will be even worse for black Americans, as they will be branded "uncle tom" or sellout or self hating or whatever other label the Left will stamp them with. Obama=racial McCarthyism. |
Darlin I wish I could explain it to you...People are starting to use that word because they know it invokes a response...No one wants to be labeled something bad---and people know that.. Keep you head high knowing that you tried to do the right thing... When I am called a racist for not liking Obama---I think it is great--or I did before it started to get over used...Now it is just making me angry...We have to stand up and do soemthing.. |
Yeah Uncle Tom seems to be quite popular these days... |
In many ways, the Left is harder on conservative blacks than they are whites. |
|
CBF, I feel bad about what happened to slaves, but myself nor my family had slaves. I don't understand what some African American people want to hold it against everyone and yell racism any chance they get. I know you feel the same way about this as an African American woman. It seems that just because a person is white and not voting for Obama they are automatically racists and if they are Black and not voting for Obama they are considered race traitors. It is sickening to say the least.
|
|
The problem is that any criticism of Obama is racism. White people have been conditioned to cower away from any criticism of someone who is black, unless it is in hushed tones and between one another. If you think it's bad now, then just wait until he gets elected and his supporters start talking about it being "our turn". |
Damn you--that is what the hubby said too....You think that will fix everything don't you??? Ok maybe you are right!!! |
I can not stop laughing...I am going to be doing Yoda all day now... |
Oh my dear sweet plum this goes a lot further then slavery...Half of the black people talking about this shit don't know a damn thing about slavery or their family history for that matter...This is so much bigger then slavery... This is dirty tactics used for trying to win an election...People are calling each other racists for votes and guilt...We have to let them know that we are not going to stand for this horse shit (it is bigger then bull shit)any longer... It is is sick--you are right...Oh and by the way don't say African American anymore---free yourself from that PC nonsense...Don't feel bad for calling black people black or whatever... Oh and back to slavery--I am pretty sure that some slaves were sold by Africans---so if we are going to blame anyone for slavery--shouldn't we start with Obama??? I am just saying... |
Once more---white people are saying other white people and black people who are not voting for Obama are racist...This is going across the board now... That is my point---everyone is using this word as a weapon and it is sick... |
|
The problem CBF is that the Left has run out of hyperbolic insults to silence critics with out answering the criticism. NAZI has been tossed about for 8 years now, the unengaged have wizened up and it just doesn't work anymore. What's left? Racist. The only good thing I can say about the Left using it is that people actually know what racism really is, whereas most still have no clue what the NAZIs really stood for or the world view that they held. Therefore, IMHO, the shelf life of this insult will be very quick. The general vibe I get out and about is that most think it's ridiculous. Hang tough, reality is a rough road and the wheels are coming off this Left/ MSM fantasy land bandwagon. The only question is if it will skid across Nov4 in first place. |
You are right, I say African American because I don't want to offend...I have a nice black family next door...One day my son called the little four year old girl "little black girl" because he did not know her name. I just KNEW the mother would be offended by that. I apologized to the mother and then asked if it bothered her. She said it really didn't bother her because they are black. I was relieved! On another occasion, I was chatting with a black lady online that I talked to for a couple of years. We had same religious beliefs and she was nice lady, so I thought. She indulged to me that she used to be really racist against white people. She was nice to me every time we chatted on the phone and online. We talked for quite a while and one day on a phone call she asked me if I was attracted to black men. Me being attracted to my husband who is blond haired, blue eyed said, "I have always been attracted to light colored hair blue eyed guys". I said "I have never seen a black man who I would be interested in". I was not trying to offend her one bit, but it did and she went off on me. She refused to ever talk to me again, despite several apologies. I didn't think I was in the wrong for saying that because 1. I was being truthful. 2. I cannot help who I am attracted to. I am attracted to my husband who is a white man. I think you are a sweet person CBF and I like your style! |
Yes maam. |
![]() Thanks buddy...Just trying to speak the truth...And if you are not attracted to men other then your hubby that is admirable... I don't find certain men attractive---I guess I am a racist too...Don't worry I heard it is a new cool club to be a part of... |
| I am more concerned with things like black television channels, black colleges, black magazines. They are attempts by black people to further themselves from being equal. If there were white only colleges imagine the hell that would ensue. Not to mention the term African American is just nonsense. I have many black friends who find that inappropriate. Their families, like many black Americans did not originate from Africa and consider themselves just Americans. Just as I view myself as just an American not an European American. |
I think you are right!!! |
Yep I agree... Except for this---BET was started by a white guy--I am not sure why but he did...Next black colleges--they were started looooonnnnngggg ago when blacks weren't getting into any white colleges...I am not sure if you know but there are white people that are attending those colleges now... But I understand your point... |
If this was 50 years ago, I wouldn't have a problem with the idea of a black college since they were looking to better themselves in a rough time. But the idea today is nonsense. Yes, a few white people may be going there, but by and large they are still black. Goes along with black college funds as well. How can someone want to be considered equal to someone else and still have so many things to contradict that. It is beyond me. But for the most part I could really care less. I just hate when it is brought up politically by the left. |
I think now it is about tradition...You know My great grandfather went to Morehouse--so forth and so on... But you have no argument out of me...The left brings it up all the time and it is just plain wrong... |
