I've been looking for a wireless home security system. One of the ones that has a siren and also calls a number if the alarm goes off... I don't want to pay for any monitoring service. This is partly for home security, and partly to make sure our teenage son doesn't sneak out at night. He did it a time or two... we think we have it nipped in the bud but this would be a good safety net, you know, just in case. I was looking at the SmartHome offering for $399 (SecureLinc), but the additional sensors are $50 a piece. I have 7 windows, 2 doors and 2 garage doors so it would be pretty expensive to add what I need. I wouldn't need to do all of that for the teenage kid aspect, but I figure if I'm doing a system I might as well do it right. Anyone have any suggestions for a system? |
