No, not this kind: I was sitting at a red light in the fast lane. 100 yards past the intersection is a construction zone - in fact, the intersection is technically in the construction zone. There is a slow lane that merges into the fast lane approx. 80 yards past the intersection. A silver Mustang GT pulls up next to me in the slow lane. The light turns green. He accelerates VERY quickly. I accelerated briskly (not trying to race) as I always do, but he was GONE and was doing 55+ through the 25mph construction zone. FWIW, my car has ~50 more HP. Past the next intersection is the police station/town hall, where I was headed. When I got in the left turn lane behind him (speeding doesn't pay kids) I noticed the light bars in the back window...it was one of the local PD's undercover "road rage" cars. What do you think my fines/points would have been if I decided to accelerate at the same speed as the cop and drove through the construction zone at 55?

The ad for that movie got me in trouble with my wife when it first aired. She accused me of drooling. I denied drooling but admitted to a lesser charge of being inappropriately mesmirized. |

1.) Entrapment is enticing someone to do something that they would NOT have done under same circumstances if a cop was not there. Its kind of like saying I wanted to speed because the ambulance was speeding. lol 2nd........and I will NOT deffend any person other than myself, but most times while responding to a call, whether it be on the radio or from the cell phone, it is nearly a billion times faster to just speed around with the lights off, than it is to turn em on and have everyone freak out, stop, swap lanes, stop, go slower, stop, swap lanes, go slower.......fuck. Only one lane? screw the lights, you will never get to where you are going. I only hit the lights and siren in intersections. NOT everyone knows the ins and outs of real driving (street racers normally do) most people freak, and then make things worse. There are many arguments out there for cops speeding........people think that since they have to follow the speed limit so do the cops. Yes, to an extent they do. As far as following the law. BUT, since to be a cop, you have to have professional driving training, speeding is not as dangerous (supposedly) for cops. And, if you only go the limit, you will never catch anyone doing anything wrong, since all around you people are scared to do the speed limit most of the time. I allways drive 5 over at a minimum. Even just while on patrol, 5 sometimes 10 over. If you pass me, you are retarded. lol If I am speeding, and you match me, and then try to explain that since I was doing it that it must have been ok, I will explain that when you start driving an emergency vehicle you can start following the Standard Operating Procedures manual for police. lol once upon a time, I was a street racer. lol If you are any good whatso ever, you realize that it just takes one minor thing to go wrong, or the tard you are running to make a mistake and then the shit really hits the fan. IF, you have a good win record, you prolly have a shit ton of money in your ride. Cause, it aint the driver that wins, its the drivers bank account that ussually wins the race. lol Never fails, hit 300rwhp, then only cars with a WAYYYY better weight ratio want to race or they have 400rwhp.........As soon as I hit 483rwhp, no one wanted to race anymore. The only people that would step up were litre bikes or nos bikes and railjob cars. The only money we made was with a '89 CRX hatch. Put down just over 300rwhp and weighed about 1600lbs! Had a clear hood so everyone could see what we were running, plus it was lexan and saved weight. Turbo vettes and the nos nsx types could not stand to loose to a piece honda. lol |
