What did she do?

ETA: Just read about it, damn sad. But better to lose them and stay alive.

I do not know how she could keep a straight face when she was in Married With Children. With some of the lines she had to say.

Breast cancer, had both breasts removed to stop it.

ETA: I see you found it as I quoted you.  Hell of a thing to have to do.  No matter how much people nod and say they understand it's an awfully hard thing to have to accept for a woman.

She was on the she-woman-man-haters-club TV show today, Opra Wifrey (fuck the spelling).

Breast cancer survivor CHRISTINA APPLEGATE posed for an emotional, private nude photo before her recent mastectomy, so she'd always have a photo to remember the breasts she was losing.

The actress was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year (08) and opted to have her breasts removed in an effort to stop the spread of the disease.
She staged a private ceremony on the evening of her surgery, so she'd always have a photograph.

Speaking candidly on a recent taping for Oprah Winfrey's talk show, Applegate revealed, "I did my first and last nudie photoshoot at home. I made sure that I have close-up photographs of them from every angle, so I can kind of remember them."
Since the operation to remove her breasts, doctors have implanted "expanders" in the actress' chest, which will eventually allow them to sculpt fake breasts for her.

She explained, "They keep expanding over a few months until they take those out and put in your implants... They have this strange little thing that they insert in there and they keep filling it up with saline to expand behind the muscles."

But she admitted to Winfrey that the surgery has left her with a chest that resembles nothing like the one she had before her cancer diagnosis.

She added, "You've got scarring and there's a lot of things you're missing... and the shape is not the same and it doesn't feel the same and it's hard to carry your purse and there are so many limitations.
"It's sad. I cry at least once a day about it because it's hard to overlook it when you're standing there in the mirror."

But, despite the pain and heartache, Applegate joked there is a bright side to her surgery: "I don't have to wear a bra... ever again."

Somebody here on ar15.com knows her from cancer fundraisers (before she was diagnosed). Said she was nice as can be. Great comedic actress too.

O'Reilly had her on tonight (well Tuesday here) as the Patriot.  Said he talked to her recently and thought she was extremely nice.

I know at least three women in the last few months (one was my wife) who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and attended one funeral already this year because of it (friend's wife). Please donate a couple of bucks when you can. It's a great cause.

Sorry for spoiling Christina Applegate goodness with this.

I got a little misty when I heard about her illness and that she was going to have the double mastectomy. I've never met her, but I heard she is a very nice person. I grew up watching her on Married with Children, so it feels like is happening to someone I know. What young guy didn't dream about Kelly Bundy.

She is very brave to have it done, and I hope she has a full recovery and her reconstructive surgery is good enough for her to be happy.

We need the best surgeons money can buy. We can rebuild her, make her better, perkier, an inspiration to others...
