When vodka tastes like water to me? I can pour a full glass and drink it like water. If anything, it tastes like slightly dirty water. Like faucet water, or something. I blame this on Russian family.

ETA: Actually more Polish than Russian, but yeah.

I don't know.

It's supposed to not taste like anything.

Maybe you should move up to 100 proof?

I haven't drank vodka for over 3 years. No joke. Been drinking nothing but whiskey and gin. 3 years ago I had trouble drinking it. Now it tastes like water. Not sure what that means.

Vodka always tastes like water to me.  That's why I only keep two bottles in the freezer, and no more.

Seriously, a cold vodka martini with a few olives goes down fast.  Unfortunately, then so do I.

Maybe you're used to flavor with your booze.

Vodka is bottled straight out of the still (after it's been purified if you swing that direction).

I don't know about Vodka, but I can certainly polish off a bottle of Jameson pretty quick. I once drank a fifth of Rebel Yell in 30mins. (It was the night my grandfather died, so, thats my excuse.)

Whiskey I just enjoy the flavor of. Vodka, I wouldn't say I enjoy. It has a rather unnoticeable flavor, but nothing to look forward to. A decent bottle of scotch, on the other hand, is absolutely delicious.
